Yesterday, the Del Rey Neighborhood Council's Land Use Committee took a first look at a proposed mixed-use building near the intersection of Culver and Inglewood Boulevards.
The project, which comes from an entity known as 4460 Inglewood, LLC, calls for razing a laundromat, a single-family home, and a duplex to make way for the construction of a five-story building featuring 24 apartments with 620 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a single level of basement parking.
A rendering of the building, which is attached to architecture firm MIKA Design Group, portrays a contemporary 67-foot-tall building wrapped with metal panels. The building would offer open-air decks at its second floor and above its roof.
Additional details regarding 4460 Inglewood are currently unclear.
The project would rise two blocks east of the intersection of Inglewood and Washington Boulevard, where developer CityView is midway through construction of a five-story building that will feature 97 apartments and retail space.
East on Culver Boulevard, construction recently began for another mixed-use project that will feature 47 apartments and 1,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.
