A surface parking lot in Koreatown could make way for a new permanent supportive housing development, according to plans filed yesterday with the City of Los Angeles.
The proposed project, which would rise at 1141-1145 Crenshaw Boulevard, calls for the construction of a five-story building featuring 43 residential units atop an eight-car parking garage.
Project applicant Domus Development is seeking Transit Oriented Communities affordable housing incentives for the proposed apartment complex, including relief from transitional height requirements and reductions to side-yard and open space requirements.
An application for Measure HHH financing indicates that the estimated cost of 1141 Crenshaw is nearly $25 million - or approximately $570,000 per dwelling unit. The apartments would be reserved for survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking.
