After just over one year of construction, the wood and concrete frame of a mixed-use complex is now three levels above ground in Del Rey

Upon completion, the project at 11608-11612 W. Culver Boulevard will consist of a five-story building featuring 47 apartments, 1,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and parking for 62 vehicles.

The contemporary podium-type structure will have a U-shaped footprint, with a central courtyard located at the center of the structure.  Plans also call for a rooftop deck.

City records listed the project applicant as an entity called 11612 Culver, LLC.

The development site is located just east of the intersection of Culver and Slauson Avenue, where 12 townhomes were completed earlier this year.

A few blocks west, a similar mixed-use building is slated to replace a single-family home, a duplex, and a commercial building that formerly served as a laundromat.
