Los Angeles-based firm Frost/Chaddock Developers has broken ground on a multifamily residential complex in the Larchmont community.

The five-story building, which replaces nine single-family homes at 501-543 N. Wilton Place, will offer 88 one- and two-bedroom apartments atop 165 cars in a semi-subterranean garage.  Plans also call for common spaces such as a fitness room, multiple courtyards, and a roof deck.

Reed Architectural Group is designing the low-rise structure, which will feature exterior finishes such as smooth stucco, concrete, and metal panels.  Renderings show glass balconies wrapping around the building.

A timeline for the project is unclear.

The Wilton Place development's entitlement process received extensive coverage from the Larchmont Buzz, which noted that one of the homes demolished was sold to Frost/Chaddock by current 4th District Councilmember David Ryu.

Frost/Chaddock is perhaps best known as the developer behind plans for a three-building mixed-use project in Silver Lake known as Junction Gateway.
