Los Angeles-based developer Frost/Chaddock has broken ground on a multifamily residential complex near the interchange of the 101 and 134 Freeways in Toluca Lake.

The approximately 1.32-acre development site, located at 11036 W. Moorpark Street, was previously improved with eight single-family residences.  Frost/Chaddock has received approvals from the City of Los Angeles to construct a rectangular five-story edifice on the site, which will feature 96 residential units - including eight apartments for very-low-income households.

Venice-based Reed Architectural Group is designing the low-rise structure, which will feature open space amenities such as a rear-facing pool deck.

Frost/Chaddock has built similar multifamily projects across Los Angeles, including a mid-rise residential-retail complex in Palms, and is also behind plans for the three-building Junction Gateway development in Silver Lake.
