The launch of a sales website has brought forth a new batch of renderings for Perla on Broadway, a 35-story condo tower now under construction in Downtown's Historic Core.

The project, which is being built by SCG America, will offer 450 studio, one-, and two-bedroom units, ranging between 400 and 1,300 square feet in size.  Plans also call for 7,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial uses and a podium parking garage.

Architecture firm CallisonRTKL is designing the tower which is being designed in the vein of historic Art Deco buildings along Broadway.  The building will incorporate a number of common amenities, including a fitness center, a pool terrace, and a rooftop deck.

Hirsch Bedner Associates is designing the building's interior spaces, which is highlighted by a four-story inner atrium.  Open spaces amenities are being designed by Studio MLA, while Swinerton is the project's general contractor.

Completion of Perla is scheduled to occur in 2020.

The project is one of just a handful of new Downtown towers built outside of South Park and the Financial District.  It may be followed in the coming years by a 33-story apartment tower planned one block west above the Pershing Square subway station, as well as a skyline-altering 88-story development at the coveted Angels Landing site.
