NSB Associates, a Southern California real estate development and investment firm, has broken ground on Ascend, an 80,000-square-foot creative office building designed by the famed architect Frank Gehry.

Located at the Utah Avenue Campus in El Segundo, the building will feature 24-foot ceilings, large glass panel wals, skylights, and 16,000 square feet of private outdoor patio space.  Unique among creative office developments, Ascend will stand on a podium above a covered parking garage.

The project sits within close proximity to LAX, Metro's Green Line and the I-405 and I-105 freeways.

Ascend is further evidence of the southern spread of "Silicon Beach," as evidenced by a handful of other creative office buildings now underway in El Segundo.

NSB expects the building to be available by the fourth quarter of 2017.
