The Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority has broken ground on a green street project that will improve connections between Ballona Creek and the surrounding Del Rey community.

The project, which abuts the linear Milton Street Park, will add a new sidewalk, ADA-complaint ramps, street signage and vegetated stormwater curb extensions along approximately 1,000 feet of Milton Street.

SWA Group designed the streetscape improvements, along with the adjacent park.

The property, located at 366 S. Loma Drive, could see the construction of a six-story building featuring 39 apartments - including affordable units - above a partially subterranean parking garage.
