About the firm

Based in Downtown LA’s City West, The Code Solution is a unique combination of a land-use consulting and architecture firm.  They are an up-and-coming company with a variety of projects currently in the design and construction phases.

They call themselves The Code Solution - or TCS for short - because they are a multi-disciplinary firm that is committed to providing a multitude of services for each phase of real estate development.  In fact, the company’s principals have been developers themselves. However, what makes TCS truly unique is that they have their finger on the pulse of new developments and opportunities in Koreatown

How it all started

The Code Solution began as the brainchild of CEO Jonathan Pae, who saw a need for a company that could provide a comprehensive solution for real estate development.  Often, developers are so focused on deadlines that they miss important details, which in turn create detrimental setbacks for a project with unforeseen circumstances.

Today, TCS has been leveraging their unique expertise in land-use & planning, entitlements, architecture, tenant improvements, and construction management to work with developers throughout the Los Angeles Area.  Their projects include single residential, mixed-use, institutional, and multi-residential projects, but they are constantly finding new ways to better serve both the developers and the communities they work in.

Automated Parking Systems For Mixed Use

 

Although their main focus is within the Los Angeles Area, The Code Solution is also working on projects as far south as San Pedro.  In fact, there is a mixed-use high rise development currently in the schematic design phase.  Known as Nelson One, this project will be constructed in the heart of the growing Downtown San Pedro area.  

What makes this project unique is that it will include a four-level automated parking system with 110 parking stalls.  TCS is excited about this development because it will be the first automated parking system in San Pedro, built by their sister company, The Automated Parking Solution (TAPS).

TAPS was also started by The Code Solution’s CEO, Jonathan Pae.  For the past few years, Mr. Pae has seen a need for automated parking, as it offers a smarter, greener, and more cost effective alternative to traditional parking garages.  The Managing Partner of TAPS, Mr. Chang Lee, has been working vigorously to spread the word about the numerous advantages of automated parking.  

 

Mr. Lee, TCS Land Use & Entitlements Consultant David Park, and Nelson One Managing Partner Rich Lamphere recently met with San Pedro’s Governing Agencies to discuss the Nelson One project, and it was very well received and given full support.  Councilman Buscaino has expressed his excitement for both the mixed-use concept - which will include a rooftop lounge with oceanfront views - and the automated parking system because both aspects of the development align perfectly with the vision the city holds for the future of Downtown San Pedro.
