The Irvine Company will revamp and rebrand the former Airport Business Center, a pair of four-story office buildings along MacArthur Boulevard adjacent to John Wayne Airport.

In addition to renaming the property as "the Launch," plans call for a renovation of the approximately 130,000 square feet of office space to appeal to tenants in creative industries.  Plans for an array of exterior and interior renovations, as well as open floors plans and new amenities.

The project includes the addition of a new outdoor workspace, featuring a fire pit, complimentary WiFi and mobile plug-ins.

Customer floors will include a collection of ReadyNow suites between 1,500 to 5,500 square feet, with customer lounges in the common areas for smaller customers.

Existing retail tenants include Java Hut, Union Bank and Bank of America.

The reinvestment comes the surrounding area sees single digit office vacancy rates.
