A fourplex in the Jefferson Park neighborhood could be on the way out to make way for a new development of small lot homes.

Earlier this week, an application was submitted to the City of Los Angeles to redevelop the property at 4002 W. Montclair Street with 12 small lot homes.  Each of the three-story, 45-foot-tall homes would be capped by a roof deck.

The project applicant is listed as Reto Eberle, a locally-based real estate investor.

Additional details regarding the project are currently unclear.

The project site is located two blocks south of the intersection of Montclair and Adams Boulevard, where nonprofit developer Abode Communities is planning two affordable apartment buildings for seniors.
