In Monrovia, construction is underway for yet another large apartment complex next door to the city's Metro A Line station.

Last year, JPI commenced work on Jefferson Monrovia, which was approved in 2022 as part of the Station Square South specific plan. The project, located at 205-225 W. Duarte Road, will be a five-story, wrap-style building featuring 296 one- and two-bedroom apartments surrounding a 532-car garage.

TCA Architects is designing the apartment complex, which would consist of multiple interconnected buildings linked by shared common spaces. The buildings - clad in a combination of stucco, brick veneer, and other finishes - would offer amenities such as a co-working lounge, a clubroom, a fitness center, a game room, a rooftop deck, a pool, and multiple courtyards.

Other members of the project team include PBA Engineering and Fuscoe Engineering, Inc.

The project is on track for completion in early 2025, per a news release.

Jefferson Monrovia is the latest in a series of large developments taking shape in close proximity to Monrovia Station, including a 436-unit development one block to the west from Trammell Crow Residential.

JPI's recent Southern California projects include a large apartment building in South Gate, which has since been sold, and a mixed-use project which recently began work near the K Line in Inglewood.
