Construction is now well above ground at Millennium Santa Monica, a mixed-use complex by Houston-based developer Dinerstein Cos.

The project, rising on a 3.5-acre property at 2930 Colorado Avenue, consists of multiple five-story buildings that will offer 356 apartments and 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.  Plans call for a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, including 38 that will be set aside as affordable housing.

Michael W. Folonis Architects designed the East Village development, which will include open space through a series of walkways and courtyards.
