A tailor shop in Woodland Hills could make way for a mixed-use development, according to plans filed last month with the City of Los Angeles by a local civil engineering firm.

The proposed development, slated for the northeast corner of Ventura Boulevard and Glade Avenue, calls for the construction of a four-story building featuring eight apartments above ground-floor office and retail space, with parking to be located in a subterranean structure and in a surface lot.

A case filing for the project lists its applicant as Van Nuys-based civil engineering and land surveying firm GM Engineering.

Additional details regarding the project are unclear.

The project site is located a block south of the former Woodland Hills Post Office, where AMCAL is in the midst of construction of a 335-unit apartment complex.
