Later today, the Anaheim Planning Commission will consider a proposals to redevelop a parking structure at 350 W. Center Street Promenade with a mixed-use complex.
The project, which comes from property owner LAB Holdings, calls for the construction of a six-story building featuring 57 apartments, 16,500 square feet of commercial and office space, and a new parking garage with 148 vehicle spaces.
The B.A.R.N. development, short for Business Arts Residential Network, could consist of four separate building offering a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments ranging between 650 and 1,424 square feet in size. Plans call for private open spaces - including a second-level amenity deck - and a publicly-accessible plaza fronting Center Street Promenade.
Aliso Viejo-based Elements Architecture is designing B.A.R.N. in a style that is described as Modern Agrarian. Renderings show a collection of low-rise and mid-rise structure clad with glass and black brick.
A staff report recommends that the Anaheim Planning Commission approve the project.
The proposed development is located two blocks south of a four-story, 220-unit apartment complex recently completed by Dallas-based developer Trammell Crow Residential.
