Exterior work is now in progress for Vinz on Fairfax, a new mixed-use complex from Alliance Realty Partners.

The five-story development, located at the intersection of Fairfax Avenue and San Vicente Boulevard, will feature 149 rental apartments above 4,300 square feet of street-fronting commercial space.

Cuningham Group designed the podium-type building, which will feature a mixture of townhomes and traditional apartments, in addition to open space amenities such as an outdoor pool and roof decks.

The project was developed in conjunction with an expansion of the adjacent Shalhevet High School.

The Laguna Niguel Planning Commission has approved a mixed-use development near the city's Metrolink Station.  The joint venture between Blackwood Real Estate and Walbern, located near the intersection of Crown Valley Parkway and Forbes Road, will consist of 100 two- and three-bedroom apartments in a seven-story building.  Plans also call for 2,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space, as well as a pool courtyard, a fitness center, a private garden, and a sky deck.
