Four months after submitting plans for a mixed-use development next to Metro's 103rd Street/Watts Towers Station, developer Thomas Safran & Associates is seeking entitlements for a second project next door.
The new development, planned at 1700 E. 103rd Street, calls for the construction of a four-story building featuring 38 apartments, all of which would be priced for low- and moderate-income households.
Requested entitlements include Transit Oriented Communities affordable housing incentives.
The earlier project, slated for an adjoining site at 10341 S. Graham Avenue, would consist of a taller five-story edifice featuring 87 apartments - including 27 low-income units - atop 7,611 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Thomas Safran & Associates eventually intends to develop 196 apartments on the property in four different buildings.
