A trio of century-old buildings just east of Brand Boulevard could make way for a multifamily residential development, according to plans submitted last month to the City of Glendale.

The property, located at the northeast corner of Maryland Street and Lexington Avenue, is slated for the construction of a 28-unit density bonus apartment building, in which 18 percent of the housing units would be reserved for rent by very low-income households.

The existing buildings - consisting of two single-family dwellings and one duplex - were all completed in 1920, according to city records.

Additional details are not stated in a project description.

Property records list the owner of the Manouchehri Revocable Living Trust.

Two blocks west on Lexington Drive, Century West Partners announced the completion last year of Next on Lex, a $280-million development consisting of 494 apartments and retail space.

Two blocks north on Maryland Street, a parking garage just north of Doran Street is slated to make way for a 20-story apartment tower.
