Work is underway for a new multifamily residential complex in the South Robertson neighborhood, replacing a trio of small apartment buildings.

The project, which spans from 1237-1251 S. Holt Avenue, will consist of a five-story building featuring 34 apartments over one level of subterranean parking.

City records list the building's developer as the limited liability company Regency Holt, LLC.

Elevation plans from designer Sam Ghanouni portray a nondescript low-rise structure.

A similar mixed-use complex is now under construction just south at Holt's intersection with Pico Boulevard.

The Laguna Niguel Planning Commission has approved a mixed-use development near the city's Metrolink Station.  The joint venture between Blackwood Real Estate and Walbern, located near the intersection of Crown Valley Parkway and Forbes Road, will consist of 100 two- and three-bedroom apartments in a seven-story building.  Plans also call for 2,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space, as well as a pool courtyard, a fitness center, a private garden, and a sky deck.
