Developer PLC and construction firm Milender White have broken ground on the Murphy, a three-acre apartment complex in Irvine.

Located at Alton Parkway and Murphy Avenue in the Irvine Business Complex, the property will feature a four-story building featuring 170 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as townhomes and mezzanine units.  The project also includes amenities such as a swimming pool, a fitness center, multiple courtyards and a roof deck.

Residents will be served by a five-level parking structure, capable of accommodating up to 378 vehicles.

Construction of the Murphy is scheduled for completion in Spring 2019.

Data Center Planned for Parking Lot Near Union Station Terminal Annex

A large parking lot next door to the Union Station Terminal Annex Building is slated for development as a data center. CoreSite Realty Corp., a Denver-based owner and operator of data centers across the country, is behind the proposed development, which would raze the parking lot at 900 N. Alameda Street for the construction of a four-story, 93-foot-tall data center with nearly 180,000 square feet of floor area.
