After more than a year-and-a-half of work, MyFigueroa finally has the finish line in sight.

The $20-million streetscape improvement project, which stretches between Exposition Park and Downtown Los Angeles, will open in mid-April according to an announcement by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.

Finishing touches currently underway include reconfiguring and restriping streets along the four-mile route, as well as the installation of landscaping and street furniture.

Besides namesake Figueroa Street, MyFig also entails a variety of improvements along 11th Street in Downtown and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Exposition Park.  Its signature elements include protected bike lanes, widened sidewalks, high-visibility crosswalks, new landscaping, and island bus platforms.
