A half-mile from Metro's North Hollywood Station, construction is underway for a new multifamily residential development.

The project, located at 11525 W. Chandler Boulevard, was approved little over one year ago by the Los Angeles City Planning Commission.  Plans call for a four-story structure featuring 60 apartments - including six to be set aside for low- and moderate-income households - above on level of basement parking for 62 vehicles.

Architect Kamran Tabrizi is designing the low-rise structure, called the Chandler Art Centre, which will be clad with stucco and sheet metal.

The new apartments are being developed by Summerland Partners with Hankey Capital.

Completion is anticipated in 2019.
