Los Angeles-based real estate investment trust Hudson Pacific Properties has unveiled renderings for The Harlow, a new office building planned for the Sunset Las Palmas Studios campus.

The proposed five-story building, designed by Rios Clementi Hale Studios, will offer 128,000 square feet of rentable space.  The mid-rise structure would be highlighted by a large greenhouse-inspired interior space, as well as external decks and staircases.

Completion of The Harlow is anticipated in 2020, according to a leasing page on the website LoopNet.

The project emerges little over one year after HPP completed its purchase of the Sunset Las Palmas property - formerly Hollywood Center Studios - which is located at 1040 N. Las Palmas Avenue.  The Westwood-based firm reportedly paid $200-million for the 15-acre campus, which The Real Deal reports will be eventually entitled for up to 575,000 square feet of new development.

HPP, which bills itself as one of the largest owner-operators of soundstages in the United States, also owns the similar Sunset Bronson and Sunset Gower Studios campuses elsewhere in Hollywood.  The Sunset Bronson Studios campus has recently undergone a similar expansion - adding a 14-story office building that has been fully leased by Netflix - and its sister facility at Sunset Gower is poised to follow in its footsteps with the construction of an 18-story tower.
