Irvine-based Brandywine Homes has announced the start of construction for Corsica, a new collection of two-story townhouses in Buena Park.

The project, located on a 1.66-acre site at 8572 Stanton Avenue, will offer 17 for-sale residences ranging between 1,842 and 2,135 square feet.  THe mixture of three- and four-bedroom floor plans will also come with tankless water heaters, walk-in closets, soaking tubs and modern citches.

Corsica will also include joint amenities such as a green space and a barbeque area.

The property is located in close proximity to Knott's Berry Farm, as well as the Buena Park downtown shopping district.

Completion is expected by Fall 2017.

Crane Action at Hollywood's Thompson Hotel

11-story building sprouts between Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards.

Construction is now kicking into high-gear at Hollywood's slow-moving Thompson Hotel, with the arrival of a tower crane at 1523 Wilcox Avenue.

The project, which comes from Los Angeles-based developer Relevant Group, will consist of an 11-story building featuring 200 guest rooms, a rooftop pool deck, and multiple food-and-beverage venues.
