Faring Capital, the West Hollywood-based real estate firm helmed by Jason Illoulian, is proposing a nine-story hotel at Beverly and Robertson Boulevards, as reported by WEHOVille.

The project, dubbed the Perry, would feature 130 guest rooms and commercial space along the entire block of Beverly between Robertson and Clark Drive.  Although city regulations could allow for a building up to six stories in height, Faring has proposed redistributing a portion of the building's height to create a nine-story building along Beverly that would taper down to three stories at Clark.  This is similar in scale to nearby structures such as 8899 Beverly and several wings of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The hotel rooms would be situated within the taller portion of the development, with retail space lining its ground floor.  The three-story component of the Perry would house a rooftop swimming pool above residential units and additional retail space.

R&A Design, which has collaborated on several projects with Faring Capital, is crafting the the proposed hotel with setbacks above its first floor to avoid creating an imposing street wall along Beverly Boulevard.  The developer is also looking to preserve historic buildings that currently stand upon the project site, although this will come at great expense due to a planned underground parking garage.
