DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners is planning a ground-up development featuring offices and retail space in Culver City, according to information from the Culver City Planning Division.

The project, slated for a property at 9735 Washington Boulevard in Downtown Culver City, would consist of a four-story building featuring over 55,000 square feet of offices, 12,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and parking for 228 vehicles.

The development site at the corner of Washington and Delmas Terrace is currently improved with a one-story commercial building, as well as an adjoining surface parking lot.

Though a new entrant in Culver City, DLJ is well established elsewhere in Southern California.  The company is most notably a partner on the Blvd 6200 development in Hollywood, which has transformed two parking lots near the Pantages Theatre into apartment buildings with street-fronting commercial space.

One block west of the DLJ's Culver City property, a series of new residential-retail developments have replaced parking lots and smaller commercial buildings.
