Developer Oceanwide Holdings has announced plans for Park Hyatt-branded condominiums near Staples Center and L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles.

The Park Hyatt Los Angeles Residences at Oceanwide Plaza, the first Park Hyatt-branded residences on the West Coast, are scheduled to to begin sales in early 2018.  Plans call for a total of 164 units, which will be located on the upper levels of a 53-story tower, shared with a 184-room Park Hyatt hotel below.

Half-floor and duplex units will occupy the 50th level and above, with floor plans between 5,500 and 8,775 square feet.  Each will feature interior designs by Studio Munge.

Oceanwide Holdings is planning a vast array of amenities within the mixed-use tower, including 24-hour concierge service, a 23rd-level amenity floor with a fitness center, a yoga studio, a theater and a swimming pool.  A second amenity deck located at the eight floor will include a two-acre private park, a jogging track and a basketball court.

The condos and five-star hotel are one component of the $1-billion Oceanwide Plaza development, which spans a full block of Figueroa Street between 11th and 12th Streets.  In addition to the Park Hyatt hotel and branded residences, the project also includes twin 40-story towers with an additional 340 condominiums.  All three buildings will be seated atop a large podium structure, featuring a 166,000-square-foot retail galleria known as the Collection at Oceanwide Plaza.
