Nine months after breaking ground, developer Deep Green Housing has reached the fourth floor at its permanent supportive housing project in Westlake.

Located at the northwest corner of 7th and Witmer Streets, the six-story building features 76 studio- and one-bedroom apartments over ground-floor commercial space and podium parking for 34 vehicles.

The $30.3-million development will cater to formerly homeless residents earning between 30 and 50 percent of the Los Angeles area median income.  Rents will range from as little as $456 per month to as much as $814 per month.

The 7th and Witmer apartments are located across the street from the future site of a 29-story apartment tower - currently used for construction staging - and the freshly-refurbished Mayfair Hotel.
