Developer Colorado Creative Studios has completed the concrete frame of Santa Monica Gateway, a new creative office complex near the Expo Line's 26th Street/Bergamot Station.

Located at the southeast corner of Colorado Avenue and Stewart Street, the pair of four-story buildings will comprise 200,000 square feet of offices, served by an 627-car underground parking garage.

DRD Studio is designing the approximately 1.8-acre campus, which is portrayed with a modern exterior of concrete, glass and metal.  The interior of the buildings are designed to allow for an open layout, with floor plates up to 36,000 square feet.

Though previously anticipated to open in the third quarter of 2017, the project is significantly behind that mark.

Additional office space is now under construction a short walk south in a converted pen factory, while work is also proceeding at a residential-retail complex to the east.
