Atlas Capital Group has wrapped up its renovation of the historic Ville de Paris department store in Downtown Los Angeles, which will now function as commercial office space.

The six-story structure, built in 1917 at the southeast corner of 7th and Olive Streets, features 160,000 square feet of rentable space.  Notable additions to the century-old building include a new "jewel box penthouse" atop its roof, featuring 10,000 square feet of floor area linked by interconnecting staircases.

The renovation - which also includes an adjacent two-story retail building - was designed by Rapt Studio.

As of September 2018, the building has already secured one major tenant - Korean grocery PK Market - which has leased three floors to establish its first American store and U.S. headquarters.

The building at 712 Olive Street joins a handful of other historic Financial District buildings to undergo renovations in recent years.  Across the street at the northwest corner of 7th and Olive, the former Giannini Place building has recently reopened as a NoMad Hotel.
