Construction is complete for Hudson West, the first component of Greystar's new mixed-use project in Pasadena's Playhouse District.

Located at the southeast corner of Walnut and El Molino Avenues, the five-story building features 82 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, ranging from 547 and 1,366 square feet in size.  Its ground floor is activated with pedestrian-oriented commercial space, as well as a plaza fronting Walnut Avenue.  The project also includes amenities such as a fitness center, a courtyard and a swimming pool.

The completed product closely resembles renderings from Los Angeles-based architecture firm Togawa Smith Martin, which designed the contemporary podium-type building.  A new addition is a art installation suspended about Hudson West's street-facing plaza.

Rents in the new apartment complex range from approximately $2,500 for a studio to more than $5,000 for a two-bedroom unit.

A few blocks away, Greystar is also in the midst of construction on a large second phase of the development: Hudson East.
