Fairfield Residential is putting the finishing touches on  Vela on Ox, a $70-million apartment complex in Warner Center.

Located at 21221 Oxnard Street, the project consists of a five-story building featuring 379 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, in addition to community amenities such as a rooftop deck, a swimming pool, and multiple courtyards.

A leasing website indicates that rents for standard flats will range between $2,130 and $3,617 per month.  Street-fronting live/work units are priced between $3,952 and $6,487.

The project, designed by Architects Orange, is similar in form to other recent multifamily residential buildings in Warner Center.

Vela on Ox was built at the former home of the Los Angeles Daily News, which relocated years ago to a building located roughly one mile away.

The project was entitled as a two-phase development, which would allow for the construction of a 71,000-square-foot office building on a parking lot adjacent to the main entrance to the apartments.
