With Sony Pictures Entertainment now relocated to its new digs on Overland Avenue, former landlord LBA Realty has gone to work rehabilitating its the entertainment firm's previous home one block away.

One Culver City - previously known as Sony Pictures Plaza - is a 260,000-square foot office building at 10000 W. Washington Boulevard.  The eight-story structure was built in 1986 as the corporate headquarters of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios.

LBA acquired the property in 2014 for $159 million, and has teamed with architecture firm Gensler to refurbish the mid-rise building, which finds itself vacant for the first time in two decades.

Renderings show that the building's stone exterior will be clad over with white metal panels.  New landscaping is to be installed in the buildings forecourt and beneath its iconic glass atrium.

Interior modifications include a new fitness center and expanded retail offerings on the building's ground floor.  Additional entrances will be added along Culver and Washington Boulevards.

One Culver City's upper levels will be reformatted with open floors plans, as is typical for modern creative office space.
