R.D. Olson Construction has completed an extensive renovation of 17,000 square feet of common areas at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar.

The hotel, located along Wilshire Boulevard in the Westwood neighborhood, now features a fully renovated lobby, bar, ballroom, patio and on-site restaurant.  Highlights include a custom-built circular steel fireplace in the hotel's lobby, as well as custom lighting and white oak paneling.

The project team also included Ajax Consulting, Melzer Decker & Ruder Architects and Dawson Design Associates.

R.D. Olson, which also includes a development arm, has recently completed construction on ground-up hotels in Pasadena, Glendale, Huntington Beach and Anaheim.
