A nearly one-acre property in West Adams would yield a new residential-retail building, should plans filed yesterday with the City of Los Angeles come to fruition.

The subject property, located at 5109 W. Adams Boulevard, is slated for a five-story structure which would feature 99 apartments above nearly 20,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.  The proposed development would set aside 11 units as very low income housing, and also provide parking for up to 175 vehicles.

A series of dilapidated structures would be presumably be removed to make way for the new construction.

City records list the project applicant as 5103 W. Adams (LA), LLC.

A similar development has been proposed just two blocks west.
