The City of Artesia has begun circulating a revised initial study for a new mixed-use develompent at 18600 Gridley Road, directly across the street from the Los Cerritos Center.

The project, which comes from Cornerstone Artesia Development, calls for the construction of a seven-story building which would feature 130 residential units, approximately 24,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial uses and underground parking for 331 vehicles.  Proposed amenities would include a swimming pool, a community room and a rooftop garden.

Renderings portray a contemporary mid-rise structure.

The podium-type building is the second phase of the Artesia Live development on Pioneer Boulevard, a $45-million project which includes residential units, a hotel and pedestrian-oriented commercial space.

A construction timeline has not been revealed.

A new multifamily residential development is now rising on the outskirts of Westwood and Century City.  The project, located at 10534 W. Santa Monica Boulevard, consists of a five-story building that will feature 37 apartments - including three very-low-income units - above three levels of basement parking for 45 vehicles.
