On the southern edge of Koreatown, vertical construction is mostly complete for a new mixed-use complex from local developer Jamison Services, Inc.

Located on a 1.5-acre property at 3060 W. Olympic Boulevard, the seven-story building will feature 226 one- and two-bedroom apartments, in addition to 16,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and amenities such as a swimming pool and a fitness center.

In exchange for density bonuses, the developer has set aside 19 of the apartments for very-low income households.

KTGY Group is designing the podium-type building, which will be clad with a mixture of plaster, brushed concrete and masonry veneer.

Completion is expected in late 2017.

Small Lot Homes to Replace Triplex in Silver Lake

The development site is located just south of Fountain Avenue.

A series of early 20th century buildings in Silver Lake could make way for a new development of small lot homes.

The project, filed earlier this week with the City of Los Angeles, would replace a triplex at 1756-1762 Griffith Park Boulevard with 12 single-family residences.
