Next week, the Los Angeles City Planning Commission will consider a proposal from Wiseman Residential to raze a single family home in northern Koreatown to construct a multifamily residential development.

The property, a single parcel at 4749 W. Elmwood Avenue, is located just west of Western Avenue.  Wiseman's project calls for the creation of a new four-story building, featuring 14 rental apartments - including one for very low-income households.

Frequent collaborator Uriu & Associates is designing the proposed low-rise development, which would include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, capped with a rooftop garden.

The Planning Department's staff report recommends that the Commission grant approval to the development.
