The approximately 1.2-acre, located a block north of Venice Boulevard, includes six parcels of land at 3664-3688 Overland Avenue and two adjoining lots at 3667-3673 Keystone Avenue. Plans approved earlier this year by the City of Los Angeles call for the construction of a multi-story structure featuring a total of 188 one- and two-bedroom apartments - with a 10 percent affordable set-aside - 3,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and 106 underground parking spaces.
Reed Architectural Group is designing the project, which would stand eight stories along Overland and five stories along Keystone Avenue. Architectural plans show shared amenities such as a fitness center, a rooftop deck, and a swimming pool.
Although the site has been cleared, Oakmont has yet to submit the project for building permits.
The Overland and Keystone apartments are one of three mixed-use buildings that Oakmont plans to build on Overland Avenue. The other two projects would rise across the street at 3547-3555 and 3565-3585 Overland.
These projects would neighbor the Roy, a similar mixed-use apartment building that was completed last year. And just north of the Roy, several other small buildings are slated to make way for a six-story, 74-unit development called "The Jagger."
