Construction is scheduled to begin this summer for a multifamily residential development near the corner of San Marino and Berendo Streets in Koreatown.

The proposed development, slated for an approximately 18,000-square-foot site at 950-962 S. Berendo Street, will replace seven existing units in a trio of early 20th century buildings.  Plans call for the construction of a six-story edifice featuring 75 residential units, including eight which would be set aside as affordable housing.

Andmore Partners is designing the podium-type project, which will include amenities such as an infinity pool, a club house, an internal courtyard, a resident lounge, and a dog run.

Developer Berendo Partners, LLC expects to break ground at 950 Berendo in August, with completion anticipated by September 2021.

Just one block away, construction is wrapping up for a pair of mixed-use developments at the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Catalina Street.
