Just over one year after breaking ground in Hollywood, the steel frame of a boutique hotel is largely complete at 1525 N. Cahuenga Boulevard.

The project, which is being developed by PNK Group, is located mid-block between Sunset Boulevard and Selma Avenue.  Plans call for a seven-story structure that will feature 64 guest rooms with commercial space.

Designed by nKlosures, the steel-frame building will include a rooftop pool and a third-level amenity deck set back from Cahuenga Boulevard.

The hotel is to be operated under Hyatt's Unbound Collection, described as a series of upper-scale properties.

The project is located just south of the Dream Hotel, as well as a slew of other projects now in development by local real estate investment firm Relevant Group.  This includes the under-construction Thompson and Tommie Hotels.

Other hotel projects planned nearby include an Art Deco-inspired tower at the site of a Jack-in-the-Box restaurant on Sunset Boulevard and an eight-story inn at the corner of Selma and Wilcox Avenues.

Residential developers are also active in the surrounding blocks, highlighted by Artisan Realty Advisors, which recently announced plans to redevelop a parking lot at Selma and Ivar Avenue with a 23-story apartment tower.
