Continental Development Corporation and Mar Ventures, Inc. have broken ground on a new office campus at the site of a former Teledyne facility in Del Rey

The six-acre property, located at 4800 Alla Road, is slated for the construction of a series of two- and three-story office buildings that will offer a combined 162,000 square feet of rentable space.  Plans also call for a standalone parking garage and surface lot, with accommodations for as many as 631 vehicles.

The Gensler-designed complex will wrap around a central green space featuring seating and amenity spaces.  Other common open spaces are planned along the site perimeter and between the various buildings.

Last January, the developers cleared the property of a collection of 1960s-era industrial buildings to initiate soil remediation.  Completion of the new campus is anticipated in 2020, according to a leasing page on LoopNet.

The project will rise across the street from a 1970s structure that was recently turned into a maintenance and sales center for the electric car company Tesla.

Continental and Mar have previously collaborated on the development of a similar office campus in El Segundo.
