Construction is underway for a new affordable housing complex near the intersection of Florence and Normandie Avenues.

The project, located on a .36-acre site at 1315 W. Florence Avenue, will consist of a three-story building featuring 20 low-income apartments.

Building permits link the project to Koreatown-based architect Samuel Cho.

The prroperty at 1315 Florence has seen several proposed development schemes in the last decade, including plans for small lot houses and a coin laundromat.
