After nearly a full year of construction, the veil has lifted in the Historic Core, re-revealing the facade of Broadway's future Jordan Brand flagship store.

Located at 620 S. Broadway, the iconic footwear and apparel company will occupy the former Schaber's Cafeteria building at 620 S. Broadway.  The three-story building, which dates to the 1920s, will contain 19,000 square feet dedicated to retail, training areas, and even a rooftop basketball court.

McCall Design Group handled the reuse project, which preserves much of the Schaber's building's original facade ornamentation.

A completion date for the project has not been announced.

Jordan Brand, a Nike subsidiary, is perhaps the most prominent footwear brand to set up shop on a street that the Downtown News recently dubbed "sneaker row."  Besides Jordan, Vans has announced plans for its own 8,000-square-foot flagship at the Singer Sewing Machine Building, and Sheikh Shoes and Footaction have set up in side-by-side storefronts.
