Two months after news emerged that Jordan Brand had set its sights on Downtown's Broadway corridor, an image from photographer Hunter Kerhart shows that construction is now underway for the new flagship shoe and apparel store.

Located in the former Schaber's Cafetria building at 620 S. Broadway, Jordan's 19,000-square-foot outpost will feature retail space, training areas and a rooftop basketball court.

McCall Design Group is handling the conversion of the building, which will retain original facade elements that date back to the 1920s.

This stretch of Broadway has become the home of several footwear retailers in recent years, with both Shiekh and Footaction located across the street.

Work was first spotted by realtor Dion Noravian.
