The seven-story building, located at 1363 W. Colton Street, will offer 47 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments and parking for 25 vehicles upon completion.

The project, which was entitled with Transit Oriented Communities housing incentives, includes four apartments which are set aside for households earning 30 percent of less than the area median income.

A leasing website for the apartment complex, which is called Inspire Colton, indicates that rents for the market-rate units will range from $2,055 to $3,888 per month.

DE Architects designed the project, which is clad with plaster and corrugated metal siding.  An amenity deck will sit atop the building's roof.

Inspire Colton is being developed by the Bond Companies, which is also in the midst of construction on a larger 200-unit complex in Hollywood, and recently submitted plans to the City of Los Angeles for a new apartment building on Glendale Boulevard.
