The project, located at 1027 Wilshire Boulevard, will consist of a nine-story building featuring 376 live/work apartments atop ground-floor retail space and basement parking for approximately 800 vehicles.
Bijan & Associates is designing the mid-rise structure, which will feature common amenities such as a fitness center, a roof deck, and a theater room.
Completion of 1027 Wilshire is anticipated in 2020.
Amidi Group is constructing the project as an expansion of TenTen Wilshire, a mid-century office building across the street which the Redwood City-based firm converted into apartments a decade ago.
Amidi also owns a nearby parking lot at 1018 Ingraham Street, which is slated for a mixed-use development featuring apartments and ground-floor retail space.
