Construction is underway for a new Hyatt hotel just north of Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.

The project, located at 1525 N. Cahuenga Boulevard, will consist of a seven-story building featuring 64 guest rooms - including 24 suites -  with ground-floor retail space and a rooftop pool deck.

Renderings portray a contemporary mid-rise structure with an amenity center located on its third floor, with an upper-level setback providing space for an outdoor deck overlooking Cahuenga Boulevard.  Irvine-based architecture firm nKlosures is designing the project.

Hospitality Net reported earlier this year that a Hyatt affiliate is the developing the project through a franchise agreement with PNK Group, itself a subsidiary of S3D Partners.  The 64-room hotel will be part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, which consists of unique boutique establishments.

The project will be located adjacent to a growing hotel district along Selma Avenue, highlighted by the Dream Hollywood and the under-construction Thompson and Tommie hotels.
